Would a Snowman stay for longer in the garden if he had a coat?
25th Feb 2020
With all this snowy weather Senior Infants did a science experiment to find out if we should put a coat on our snowman or not.
14 of the children in Senior Infants thought No because a coat would make the snowman melt faster.
10 children said it would make no difference if the snowman had a coat or not.
Only 1 boy (Jack), thought Yes we should put a coat on the snowman as he would melt slower with a coat.
As we didn't have enough snow in Fethard to build a snowman we used an ice- cube for the snowman and felt for the coat.
Does a Snowman need a coat to stay longer? Can you figure out who chose correctly from our photos?
