Walkability Audit
This morning we were very lucky to have Hans from Green Schools' visit us to help us to carry out a 'Walkability Audit'. This was done in preparation for our 'WoW' relaunch on the 29th March. The purpose of this 'Walkability Audit' was to make sure that potential routes that we might walk to school will be safe.
Two Green School representatives from each class took part in this audit and Hans made sure everyone was busy at work by giving each pair a special job to do. These included measuring the footpath, timing our walk, looking at road and traffic signs and keeping a tally of the traffic, among other jobs. Everyone wore their high visibility jackets to make sure that we would be seen by traffic and each pair took their jobs very seriously, working hard to complete their tasks. Well done to everyone involved!
Hans has now taken our findings and will come back to visit us in two weeks to discuss these with the Green Team. Thank you Hans!
