Science Week!👨🔬👩🔬🔎🔬
3rd class had a very busy science week and there will be many budding young scientists in the future based on the interest and enthusiasm they showed!
The highlight of every day was when 5th class would arrive to showcase their experiment to us! We learned so much from them, including how to float an egg to investigating how clean our hands really are! We really enjoyed all the experiments and appreciate all the effort they put in to share their knowledge with us!
We also did some experiments ourselves in class.
We investigated how colours seperate through the skittles experiment.
Through the experiment 'Why does it rain?' We discovered that when the cloud becomes saturated with moisture, the rain begins to fall.
The Dancing Raisins experiment amazed us all when we saw the raisins 'dance' in the vinegar and breadsoda combination. The raisins floated due to the fact that the carbon dioxide bubbles were attracted to the rough surface of the raisins causing them to float upwards.
We also created 'fireworks' in a glass by mixing oil and food colouring and adding it to warm water!
The highlight of week was investigating how lava flows. We were fascinated by the eruption!
We all really enjoyed science week! Every week should be Science Week!
