As part of maths week 5th class took part in an activity about smarties. They had to use skills like estimation and prediction to guess how many smarties were in the box. They then had to analyse the box of smarties and count them all and establish a pattern. The groups then completed nets of the shape followed by completing a bar graph to establish the most popular colour smarties. The best part of the activity was that all the groups got to eat the smarties when they were finished!!!
