Mobile Farm visits our School! π π π ππ ππ
We had a fantastic day today when Farmer Pat and his mobile farm visited our school. We met Gwen the sheepdog π who did a really cool trick collecting a bucket for Farmer Pat and rounded up the ducks. Such a clever dog!
We met two pigs π, two newborn baby lambs π, a beautiful calf π some ducks, hens π a funny rooster π who we watched get hypnotised!! Yes hypnotised...see our video clip. Many of us wanted to hold the hen called Tuck and were very gentle with her. We heard that she actually laid an egg when a child in another class was holding her!
We had lots of questions for farmer Pat who was very impressed by the effort the children put into dressing up as farmers for the occasion. It was great fun wearing wellies and hats to school today!! Well done Senior Infants you all looked amazing.
I think we have lots of future farmers in our class!!!
We learned about the Journey of Milk and so to finish the day off we all enjoyed some delicious ice-cream.π¦ Our favourite milk product hands down! π
