This month we are learning about Africa in History and Geography. In Geography we are working in groups to make a travel brochure on 1 of each of the 5 regions in Africa. Within each group, each person has chosen 1 country from that region and are researching that country. The aim is to create travel brochures for each region and present them to the class and the end of the month.
We were also given a lovely jigsaw of the world to assemble in class this week. We spilt into groups and each group assembled one continent before putting the entire jigsaw together.
This week we also learned about the Benin people who ruled in the Kingdom of Benin in Africa from the 900s until the 1960s when it became part of Nigeria.
